Beach - The resort is in the heart of Acapulco so the beach is wide but congested with people. If you want to get away from it all, this would not be a good choice. Charges (extra) - Since this is not an all-inclusive resort, all meals and services would be extra much like any resort in the United States. Distances - In the heart of hotel row so convenient to everything in Acapulco.
Fitness Area - They have a small fitness area but if I recall there is an additional charge to use the facility. Food - They have 4 restaurants serving Mexican cuisine and seafood. La Cieba is open in the morning for a buffet breakfast. Getting Around - Taxi is the most convenient since you are so close to town. Internet Access -They have wireless internet access from the lobby. They did not say when they will have access from the rooms.
Kids - Even though they have a kids program during holidays and high season I would say this hotel is geared more for couples who want to be in the heart of Acapulco's nightlife and business travelers. Little Known Fact-They house the only synagogue in all of Acapulco. Medical Services -On call medical services. Negatives -In need of a renovation since people have a certain expectation of Hyatt standards.
Pool - They have two nice pools overlooking the beach and ocean. Protection - Electronic safety deposit boxes in each room. Recreation - You have access to the tennis courts and 9 hole golf course only one block away from the hotel. Rooms -The rooms here are larger than what you would expect in Mexico. The views from the balconies are great.
Spa- They do offer spa and beauty shop services. Terrain - Easy to navigate since it is a self contained high rise resort. Tipping-I would say use the same rules of thumb as you would do staying at a resort in the United States. A dollar goes a long way here. View-Excellent views especially from the higher floors. Weather-June through October is rainy season but more of the rain comes overnight. Acapulco boasts over 330 days of sunshine. November through April are the nicest months of the year

This deluxe, 23-story tower resort has a beautiful setting overlooking the magnificent Bay of Acapulco, with breathtaking ocean views from all guestrooms. Each of the 645 air-conditioned rooms has a balcony and two doubles or one king bed. Hotel amenities include four restaurants, three bars, room service, nightly live entertainment (seasonal), two swimming pools, a fitness center, beauty salon, shopping arcade, synagogue, and organized children's activities (seasonal). Beach: Broad and secure, the beach at Hyatt Regency Acapulco offers hundreds of meters of golden sand, easily one of the prime locations on Acapulco Bay. Ambiance -This is a typical high rise resort in the Hotel Row section of Acapulco. Not as deluxe as you would expect for a Hyatt but it offers great value and views to die for! 
Entertainment on Property -
They have a band that plays out by the pool in the late afternoon and a piano player in the lobby bar in the evening.
Jackets and Ties - Keep them at home, but long pants and a collared shirt is required for dinner . 
Nightlife -Acapulco is known for its nightlife. Things don't really get started until midnight and go until 5am. I on the other hand am sleeping by midnight and awake by 5am.
Shopping - Small gift shops on property. Plenty of shopping in Acapulco.
WOW Factor-The location and the prices are about as good as you will get for a first class hotel.
