Beach-An excellent beach protected by a reef making the ocean water very swim-able. I have to say this is one of the better stretches of beaches in the Riviera Maya. Charges (extra) - Spa treatments, motorized water sports long distance and business services like internet access would be extra. Distances- The resort is just south of Akumal making it about a hour and 20 minute ride from the airport.
Fitness Area - A very small fitness area so if you are a fitness buff, you might not be happy. Hey, you are on vacation so leave the work out clothes at home. Food- They have 7 restaurants, 4 are specialty restaurants serving Asian, seafood, International and Italian cuisine. I was surprised how many restaurants they had here. I also like the fact the have a sushi beach bar. I know sushi is not everyone's cup of tea but I like it. Getting Around- Taxi is the best bet for I do not suggest you renting a car unless you really know what you are doing driving in Mexico.
Jackets and Ties- Keep them at home, but bring slacks and polo shirt for dinner in the Specialty restaurants. Kids-They have a kids club for children ages 4 to 12 with age appropriate activities. Babysitting is also offered. Little Known Fact-This is one of the few resorts in the Riviera Maya that have true oceanfront rooms. Some of them you can walk right out your terrace and be on the beach. Medical Services-On call medical services.
Nightlife- Since they are pretty far south in the Riviera Maya, most of the entertainment would be on the property. You could go about 20 minutes north into Playa del Carmen for more nightlife. Opportunities- I have to say, you get your moneys worth here based on how well they price out. The oceanfront rooms are as close as you will get compared to other resorts. See the picture to the right. Pool-They have 4 pools one of which is an infinity pool. I am a pool person and infinity pools are my favorites. Ok, pools with a pool bar rank right up there too.
Recreation- They have a marina right there offering non motorized water sports like kayaks, pedal boats, surf boards and snorkeling equipment. They have tennis courts, a multipurpose court for basketball or soccer plus their own little pitch and putt course. Rooms- Their smallest rooms are the Jungle rooms. Those do not have any balconies or terraces so I would avoid those. The standard rooms are nice with hammocks on the balconies overlooking the Chinese gardens or pool. The best rooms are the Oceanfront rooms that are right next to the beach. You can request a ground floor beachfront room but at this time cannot confirm it in advance.
Spa- I am not an expert in spas but have seen many over the years. I would say it is a decent spa but nothing to rave over. Terrain-The resort is very nice size, not too big, not too small. No rooms are that far from the pools and beach except for the Jungle view rooms. Updates-Nothing new to report. View - One of the few resorts in the Riviera Maya that can boast true Oceanfront rooms with fantastic views.
WOW Factor-The Oceanfront rooms and value for the money. X-Y-Z-I would say for people that do not need or want to pay an arm and a leg for a nice resort, this one fits the bill. More Pictures Click Here

Ambiance-I have been wanting to see this resort for a couple of years since it offers such good value. My expectations were exceeded. Very open and airy. Not fancy but a nice size resort and I was surprised how close to the beach and ocean some of the rooms were.
Entertainment on Property -They have activities all during the day, and entertainment in their theatre in the evening.
Internet Access -They have an internet cafe. Prices start at $3.00 for 5 minutes, $5.00 for 15 minutes and $14.00 per day for 24 hours.
Negatives-The oceanfront rooms might not be a good fit for families since the rooms have an opening from the room that looks into the bathroom.
Protection-In room safe at no extra charge. 
Shopping-They have a small shop at the resort for incidentals and small gifts plus you have plenty of shopping in Playa del Carmen.
Weather-Mid December through May has the best weather. September and October gets more rain.
