Beach-A large well groomed beach, definitely competes with some of the better beaches in the Riviera Maya. Charges (extra) - Spa treatments would be extra. Distances- Only 20 minutes from the airport and Cancun making it convenient to get into town for shopping and nightlife. Entertainment on Property -Varied entertainment and activities during the day and evening. Fitness Area - The Spa and fitness area is a major feature of this resort. I would put it in the top 3 or 4.
Getting Around- You are about a $25-$30 taxi ride into Cancun. Internet Access -One of the few resorts that has internet access from the room. A major plus for me if I need to stay in touch. Jackets and Ties- Keep them at home, but bring slacks and polo shirt for dinner in the A la Carte restaurants. Kids-Sorry kiddos, adults only. Lighting-Well lit at night. Medical Services-On call medical services.
Nightlife- They have their own theatre for shows and plenty of nightlife in Cancun. Opportunities-Free rounds of golf at Pok-ta-Pok Golf Course in Cancun. Pool-If you have read any of my reviews before you know I am a pool person. Fantastic pools and I love the lazy river pool. Protection-In room safe. Recreation-Plenty of water sports but the spa is one of the major focuses here. Rooms-Fantastic rooms with canopy beds, jacuzzi tubs and they are all Junior Suites. If you clan splurge, get one of the swim up rooms. Also another feature that I have not seen at any other resort is what they call the Room Service Closet. If you order room service, they can leave the food in the closet from the outside and you can open it from the inside and never have to be bothered opening the door to let them in. Pretty clever I think. Shopping-Small gift shop on property. Plenty of shopping in Cancun. Terrain-Pretty flat Updates-The property looks fantastic, you would of never known hurricane Wilma came to town.
Weather-December through May are the best months for weather. The wettest months are late September through early November WOW Factor-The swim up rooms and the Spa. X-Y-Z-My Overall impression is this a great choice for couples that want to be closer to Cancun. This resort exceeded my expectations. More Pictures Click Here |

Ambiance-Wow, This resort gives the El Dorado Royale some stiff competition. Stunning grounds and the minute you walk in you get a sense this place is something special.
Food- 8 restaurants, 7 which are a-la-carte featuring Italian, Asian, Japanese, Mexican and French Cuisine. The nice thing at this resort is you do not need advance reservations at any of the restaurants.
Negatives- The only negative is if you are traveling with kids. You need to keep them at home to stay here. 
View-Right on the ocean and there are rooms with Ocean Views.
