Beach-The beach is coming back and in much better shape than when I was there. Hurricane Wilma devastated Cancun in 2005 and after the government pumped millions of dollars in the beach restoration, hurricane Dean did a number again in August 2006. But mother nature is working its magic with natural restoration and the government plans on helping out as early as 2008.. Charges (extra) - Spa treatments would be extra. Distances- only 15-20 minutes from the airport, this is a perfect location across from Flamingo Plaza and Planet Hollywood.
Fitness Area - Brand new machines with all the renovations in 2007. Food- You will not find 20 restaurants like some of the larger all-inclusive's but what I can tell you is you will find quality. They have 4 restaurants of which 2 are Specialty restaurants serving Oriental and Italian cuisine. Reservations are not required at any of the restaurants. What I like about Palace resorts is they also have a nice wine selection that is included so you can order a nice bottle of wine with dinner. Getting Around- Close to everything and the bus is a bargain if you do not want to take a taxi. I take the bus everywhere.
Jackets and Ties- Keep them at home but long pants and a collared shirt is required for the men at dinner in the specialty restaurants. Kids-They have a great kids program for ages 4-12. What is nice is not only is it open from 7am to 5pm but it is also open in the evenings from 7pm to 9pm allowing the parents to have a nice dinner by themselves if they want. Babysitting is $15 p/hour for one child and $5 for an extra child plus $15 to pay for the babysitter's transportation. Little Known Fact -At all of the Palace resorts if you are staying for 5-7 nights they will include some very nice day tours. Medical Services-On call medical services.
Nightlife- This is Cancun, need I say more. Opportunities-Take advantage of one of the free tours included in your 7 night package. It is well worth it. They also offer a pretty nice golf package and new this year free long distance back to the United States. Pool-Three pools total. And they have a kiddie pool in the kids club. You will find me at the swim-up pool bar. Protection-In room safe. Recreation-Plenty of water sports with Sunfish Sailing, Snorkeling, Paddle Boats all complimentary with scuba, Motorboats, Jet Ski / Wave runner and Water skiing with an additional charge.
Shopping-A couple of small shops at the resort but you are across from Flamingo Plaza. Spa-A small but very adequate spa area. Terrain-High rise resort and the way it is designed you are close to everything. You don't have to walk a mile to get from your room to the beach. Updates-Palace Resorts has started offering free long distance back to the US. If you have ever had to make a long distance call from Mexico back to the states from a hotel before, you know this is a great offer.
Weather-Mid December through May has the best weather. September and October gets more rain. WOW Factor-The jacuzzis in the rooms, the views and the quality food and dining. X-Y-Z-Palace Resorts has taken their reputation as a quality company and applied it to this very family friendly resort. Bring the kids and enjoy! Click here for more pictures |

There is a Kid`s Club for children from 4 to 12 years old activities include hide'n seek, musical chairs, painting, etc. Children's Facilities Babysitting Fee: Not available. Welcome games, hotel tour, pool basketball, beach walks and childeren's pool. |

Ambiance-If you had been to Beach Palace years ago you will not even recognize it. They transformed it after hurricane Wilma. It looks fabulous now, very modern and classy. This is one of their family friendly resorts so bring the kids. Once again, Palace exceeded my expectations.
Entertainment on Property -You will not find big large production shows in the evening but the staff does a great job with family entertainment in the evening.
Internet Access -They have wireless internet access from the rooms and the best part is there is no extra cost! Since I am normally working while in Cancun, this is perfect for me to keep up with servicing my clients. 
Negatives-I like being close to everything but others might think the area is too congested. 
Rooms-All the rooms here are Superiors which are equivalent to Junior Suites with either lagoon or ocean views and a Jacuzzi in every room. They also have a 2 bedroom Presidential Suite that can accomodate larger families.
View-Right on the ocean, fantastic views.
